This patented RayPress product was designed with the help of a 32 year police veteran to aid law enforcement in gathering and preserving prints, including fingerprints and footprints.
Before now, law enforcement personnel would store cardboard and rolls of tape in the trunks of their automobiles for use while investigating a crime scene. A piece of tape would be removed from the roll and the officer would attempt to place the sticky side of the tape over the dusted print, then place the tape on the cardboard. This process was far from ideal. The first and most obvious problem is the law enforcement personnel often leave their fingerprints on the tape used to transfer prints to be preserved as evidence onto a tag sheet. Another disadvantage to this method is that the adhesive used in tape breaks down over time, especially in warm weather, and will often not release cleanly, if at all, from the roll. Pro-Lift products address these disadvantages, allowing evidence to be easily gathered and preserved.
Step 2: Turn the bottom ply over and set it down so the blank reverse side is facing up.
Step 3: Hold the frame of the piece and lift the dusted print.
Pro-Lift is an all-in-one, reliable product which eliminates the possibility of secondary prints.
Pro-Lift appears regularly on the “CSI” television series of shows, and RayPress proudly counts the FBI and NYPD amongst its customers.
